Professor Dr. Abdol Samad Nawi is an accomplished economist and senior academic leader with over three decades of experience in higher education, research, and universitymanagement. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, and currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Management and SocialSciences at Qaiwan International University, Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Professor Dr. Abdol Samad Nawi has previously held major leadership roles including Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan Branch, Rector of UiTM Terengganu Branch, and Assistant Vice Chancellor of UiTM, reflecting an extensive record of academic governance and institutional development. His research spans productivity analysis, international trade, sustainable development, SME competitiveness, and macroeconomic policy, with numerous publications in SCOPUS and WOS journals. A dedicated educator, he has supervised and examined many PhD and MBA candidates, served as visiting professor across Asia, and contributed actively to national committees, accreditation bodies, and policy development initiatives. Professor Professor Dr. Abdol Samad Nawi continues to advance academic excellence, strategic leadership, and impactful research within the region.
